Founded by Anna Stuart Tovini and Vincenzo Chiarandà, Premiata Ditta has, since its inception, questioned notions of authorship and individuality, invoking—and subverting—the corporate logic of production and profit. The duo’s practice develops through participatory and interactive projects that engage communities, territories, and networks of relationships, hybridising artistic methods with models of collective organisation. In 1995 they founded UnDo.Net, an autonomous and independent platform for the creation of immaterial value that remains accessible today as an online archive. The duo has participated twice in the Venice Biennale, as well as in the Rome Quadriennale and numerous international exhibitions. Recent presentations include Avanti e indietro nel futuro at Museo del Novecento, Milan, and You Are Here at MAMbo, Bologna. They live and work in Milan.
