Federico Seppi’s research is deeply rooted in the Dolomite landscape in which he lives. Nature—the glacier, wood, stone, and water droplet—serves as the starting point for a body of work that redefines the natural world through a physical reappropriation of elemental materials, assigning each a symbolic and spiritual significance. The dialogue between spirituality and science, East and West, nature and artifice, drives a sculptural practice centred on the metamorphosis of matter. In 2021, he was selected by the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome for the Level 0 programme at ArtVerona. Selected exhibitions include Icebreaker at Boccanera Gallery, Trento (2021), and Frammentazioni at Boccanera Gallery (2022). He exhibited at MART Trento and Rovereto in 2015. Between 2015 and 2016, he studied Sculpture and Installation at Cardiff Metropolitan University. He graduated with honours in Sculpture under Mario Airò at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and lives and works in Trento.
