Dario Maglionico’s painting translates processes of individual and collective memory into images through architecturally rigorous and optically precise interiors disrupted by unexpected displacements and interruptions. A graduate in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, he centres his research on the subjective perception of time and space, beginning with meticulous observation of familiar environments. In 2016, he collaborated with writer Domenico Starnone on the illustrations for Scherzetto (Einaudi). In 2020, he opened the solo exhibition Doppelgänger at Vin Gallery in Ho Chi Minh City. He has been a finalist for the VAF-Stiftung Prize at MART Rovereto and for numerous international awards. He is represented by Galleria Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea in Milan and lives and works in Milan.
