Umberto Chiodi’s painting engages with figuration through a language that has been presented at institutions including Palazzo Reale in Milan, MAC Lissone, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of San Marino, and Aeroplastic Contemporary in Brussels. His works are held in collections including Museo del Novecento, Milan; MART Rovereto; Museo Michetti, Francavilla al Mare; and the JP Morgan Chase Art Collection, New York. He was a finalist for the Cairo Prize in 2011 and winner of the Michetti Prize in 2012. He teaches Visual Arts and Phenomenology of the Body at LABA Brescia and lives and works in Milan.
