Adrian Paci’s practice encompasses video, photography, painting, and performance, addressing themes of displacement, memory, identity, and the condition of living between distant cultures and geographies. His work has received extensive institutional recognition: he participated in the Venice Biennale in 1999 and 2005, the Sydney Biennale in 2006, the Lyon Biennale in 2009, and the Thessaloniki Biennale in 2013; in 2008, he was awarded First Prize at the Rome Quadriennale. His works are held in the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou and Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, the Kunsthaus Zürich, the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Fundació “la Caixa” in Barcelona, and the UniCredit Collection in Milan. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Tirana and continued his artistic education in Italy from 1992 onwards. Born in Shkodër, he lives and works in Milan.
