Simone Camerlengo’s painting is rooted in a training grounded in tradition—studies in L’Aquila with Sergio Sarra, an Erasmus programme at the Facultad de Bellas Artes UPV-EHU in Bilbao, and postgraduate studies under Italo Zuffi and Cecilia Canziani—while engaging contemporary painting through a practice that combines rigour and experimentation. In 2018, he was awarded an Erasmus Traineeship grant and worked as an assistant in Lorenzo Scotto di Luzio’s studio in Berlin. In Pescara, he founded SenzaBagno, which functions both as his studio and as a project space. He lives and works in Pescara.
