“Dedicato a Milano e al mantenere la distanza di sicurezza!”
The sculptural and installation-based practice of Valentina Ornaghi and Claudio Prestinari explores material transformation and the layered nature of memory embedded within objects, producing works in which form remains inseparable from the traces of its own making. Their solo exhibitions include presentations at Galleria Continua, San Gimignano (2014 and 2018), MAMbo – Casa Morandi, Bologna (2017), and New York University’s Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò, New York (2016), curated by Vittorio Calabrese. In 2012, they received the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa Prize of the Veneto Region, followed by the Club GAMeC Prize in 2018. In 2017, they realised Filemone e Bauci, a permanent public sculpture commissioned for ArtLine at CityLife in Milan. They live and work in Milan.
