Elisa Muliere’s practice originates in painting, which she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna under Concetto Pozzati, and has gradually expanded into installation, ceramics, video, artist’s books, and wall-based interventions. Throughout these shifts in medium, her work has remained centred on questions of identity, doubling, and time, articulated through a raw and self-aware visual language. In 2014 she published the artist’s book Icaro deve cadere with GRRRz Comic Art Books in Genoa, subsequently presented at the Seventh International Illustration Biennial of Lisbon and the Treviso Comic Book Festival. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Italy and abroad. She graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and lives and works in Bologna.
