Giulio Saverio Rossi’s painting constitutes a critical, analytical, and conceptual reconsideration of the role of painting in relation to the dominance of digital imagery. Conceived as an “ecology of vision”, his work develops shifting chromatic surfaces and low-density images that do not reveal themselves immediately but require prolonged looking. He has exhibited at Centro Pecci, Prato; Castello di Rivoli; GAM Turin; PAV Turin; and Monitor, Rome. He won the International Generazione Contemporanea Prize of the Luiss Business School in 2022 and the Cantica21 Prize in 2020. He has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, the Accademia Albertina in Turin, and Il Bisonte in Florence. He lives and works in Turin.
