
Vasilis Papageorgiou’s practice spans installation, painting, and video, investigating exhaustion, sensory overload, and the emotional structures of contemporary life. In 2019, he won the 3Package Deal Grant from the Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunst. His work has been exhibited at the Benaki Museum in Athens in collaboration with the DESTE Foundation and the New Museum, New York (2019); the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Athens (2019); MAXXI Rome (2019); the 6th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (2018); and BOZAR Brussels (2016). Selected solo exhibitions include It’s 2 a.m. I Am Spilling It at UNA, Piacenza (2019), and Exhausted, curated by Nicolas Vamoukis at Il Colorificio, Milan (2017). He is co-founder of Enterprise Projects, a non-profit space in Athens active since 2015. He lives between Amsterdam and Athens.
