Stefano Serusi’s practice focuses on the interpretation of spaces, both natural and built, and on the relationships people can establish with them. His interventions are predominantly site-specific, drawing on architecture and archaeology — the former for its capacity to shape lifestyles, the latter for its way of reconstructing meaning from fragments. The result is the staging of places suspended in expectation of a viewer free to construct their own paths of discovery and interpretation, in which voids and pauses carry the same weight as the transformed space. Recurring across his work is a sustained interest in the rituals through which communities reach for the dimension of the spirit, and in the constructive — rather than merely speculative — function of narrative.

Recent solo exhibitions include *Duru Duru* at Galleria Arrivada in Milan (2022, curated by Andrea Lacarpia), *A boy’s closet* at Rehearsal in Milan (2020), *Nuragic alliance* at Spazio E_EmmE in Cagliari (2019), *MVS€0* at Display in Parma (2018), *Sleeping giant* at Museo Casa Manno in Alghero (2017) and *Oggetti d’uso da una villa romana* at MŪSA – Museo Archeologico di Alghero (2021). His work has also been presented at MAN in Nuoro, MURATS in Samugheo, Palazzo Ducale in Sassari and Edicola Radetzky in Milan, alongside curatorial projects developed for independent contexts. He lives and works in Milan.
