Marco Fantini’s practice encompasses photography, painting, sculpture, and filmmaking within a body of work characterised by strong self-reflection and doubt. He made his artistic debut with a series of portraits addressing themes of diversity and alienation, exhibited in 1992 at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice. In recent years, his research has moved towards a more intimate approach, focusing on the painterly possibilities of drawing. He lives and works between Milan and Hanoi.
