Federico Tosi’s sculptural practice is nourished by the tension between tenderness and unease. Objects and animals become catalysts for reflections on the ways human beings project feelings—care, affection, empathy—onto inanimate or non-human forms, often unconsciously. Working with terracotta, resin, bronze, marble, bone, and concrete, he explores their expressive potential through works such as hand-holding cancer cells cast in resin (2014), marble shark jaws (2012), and rebellious bonsai trees in terracotta and resin (2024). He is represented by Galleria Monica De Cardenas. He graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 2014 and lives and works in Milan.
