Laura Giardino’s painting initially invites viewers to reconstruct a narrative beyond the frame; more recently, the observer no longer participates solely through interpretation but becomes included within the apparent emptiness at the centre of the image. Her exhibitions include Apertura/Aperturas, curated by Carmelo Di Gennaro at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, and Out Of Field, curated by Marina Guida at PAN, Naples. She lives and works in Milan.
