Alessandro Di Pietro’s practice focuses on processes of normalisation and deviation within systems of language production. His current research finds expression through cinematic grammar, which he uses to develop new strategies of production within proto-narrative installation environments. He was an Affiliated Fellow of the American Academy in Rome through the CY Twombly Fellowship (2017–18). Selected solo exhibitions include Felix at Marsèlleria, Milan (2018); Towards Orion: Stories from the Backseat at La Plage, Paris (2017); New Void at La Rada, Locarno (2016); and Double Cross with Jacopo Miliani at CAB Centre d’Art Bastille, Grenoble (2015). He lives and works in Milan.
