Riccardo Previdi’s research brings together images and content drawn from popular culture, industrial production, and technological thought with the principles and forms of modernism, questioning the promises of progress and social redemption associated with modernity. His dual training in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and Visual Arts at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts led him to focus on the relationship between art and design. Since 2006, he has collaborated with Galleria Francesca Minini in Milan. He has exhibited at the 1st Moscow Biennale, Manifesta 7, the 1st Turin Triennial, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, MARTa Herford, De Vleeshal Middelburg, the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, PAC Milan, and Museion Bolzano. From 2001 to 2016, he lived in Berlin, where he realised the Green Light Pavilion project. Since 2016, he has lived in Merano, and since 2018 he has taught at the University of Bolzano. He lives and works in Merano.
