Christian Fogarolli’s research unfolds at the intersection of visual art and scientific disciplines, examining the fragile boundary between normality and deviance while questioning the social mechanisms that define illness, marginalisation, and categorisation. His work is informed by extensive research in clinical archives, scientific museums, and medical research centres, which provide the material for projects realised through photography, installation, sculpture, video, and drawing. Among his major exhibitions is Decade, his first solo exhibition in an Italian public museum, presented at the Galleria Civica di Trento in 2023. His work has also been shown at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Galerie Alberta Pane, and MUSE – Museo delle Scienze in Trento. He holds degrees in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Conservation, as well as a master’s degree in the diagnostics and restoration of artworks. He lives and works in Trento.
