Roberto Amoroso
Roberto Amoroso explores the subtle boundary between performative narcissism and the need for self-representation in the age of social media. Drawing on the logic of hypertext—which objectifies mental associations by transforming them into tangible links—he constructs archives of images sourced from digital platforms, subjecting them to transformations through the symbols of mobile applications. The resulting body of work highlights the theriomorphic ambiguity of contemporary figures, revealing how visual identity oscillates between self-projection and the dissolution of the individual within the grammar of interfaces. He lives and works in Milan.
