Bruto Pomodoro’s research is rigorously abstract and addresses the hidden dimensions of the living world through a personal symbolic and narrative language grounded in the study of chromatic, compositional, and plastic relationships. Drawing upon subjects ranging from genetics and embryology to evolution and the physical laws of the universe, his work seeks to visualise the invisible structures underlying existence. Since 2006, he has developed his characteristic Archetypes in three-dimensional form through collage and resin before expanding into traditional stone and bronze sculpture, maintaining a coherent dialogue between his painterly and sculptural production. He has exhibited internationally since 1994 in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Trained in biology, he lives and works in Versilia.
