Nazzarena Poli Maramotti’s painting has always focused on landscape, a genre that engages with the history of modern art while constantly regenerating itself through a personal archive of photographs, clippings, papers, and visual materials transformed by time. The garden functions as a metaphor for dynamic equilibrium, where unpredictability and disorder constitute the most authentic condition of life. She works across canvas, panel, paper, and ceramics in a continuous dialogue between material and colour. Her distinctions include the Mediolanum Prize for Painting, the Debütantenförderung der Bayerischen Staatsregierung, and the Euromobil Under 30 Prize. Exhibitions include Triennale Milano, Palazzo Reale Milan, Neues Museum Nuremberg, Palazzo Magnani Reggio Emilia, and Palazzo da Mosto Reggio Emilia (2025), curated by Silvia Bottani. She graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino and completed her studies at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Nuremberg, where she was Meisterschülerin of Ralph Fleck and Susanne Kühn. She lives and works in Cavriago.
