“La natura e il suo essere un’entità arcaica, mi attrae in maniera innata e per ragioni nascoste che si identificano nel momento in cui mi immergo dentro di essa. La fascinazione di fronte alla bellezza inaudita di tanta potenza, nasconde storie di cui essa è costantemente testimone e che mi portano instancabilmente ad indagarla, cercando di catturare i misteri e le marginalità contenuti dentro di essa”.
Silvia Mariotti works across photography and installation, investigating the environment that surrounds the artist in both its sociological and historical dimensions. Her work restores to the image a stratification of suggestions and lived experiences, uncovering latent connections within observed reality. She has exhibited in galleries and public institutions, including the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino, and in 2019 received the Level 0 Prize at Art Verona. She lives and works in Milan.
