Matteo Messori’s research revolves around the concept of the “Antiform”: a receptive organism devoid of fixed connotations or identities, conceived as a means of investigating human transformation through an empathetic lens. Integrating painting and sculpture within immersive installations, his works evolve, accumulate, and assume new positions over time. Among his solo exhibitions are Sospesi at YAG/Garage, Pescara (2019), Antiforma at Galleria Ramo, Como (2019), Status at Nero La Factory, Pescara, and Boro, accompanied by a text by Rossella Farinotti. In 2019, he received a Special Mention in the Sculpture and Installation category of the Combat Prize. He has undertaken residencies at P420 in Bologna, LandXcape and NLuoghi Spazi Potenziali in Macerata, and the Raccolta Lercaro in Bologna. He graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in 2016. He lives and works in Reggio Emilia.
