Luca Loreti’s practice unfolds within a deliberate ambiguity between painting and sculpture. His wall-based works, created through industrial paint applications on oxidised iron, initially appear as paintings before revealing their sculptural nature upon closer inspection. Rust becomes pigment, while industrial process assumes the role of painterly gesture. His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions including Romance, curated by Greta Scarpa at BITCORP for Art, Milan (2019), Now I Wanna Be a Good Boy at Plasma Plastic, Milan (2017), It Was My First Time at Localedue, Bologna (2016), and Exhibition of the Year 2016, curated by Alberta Romano at t-space, Milan. He graduated in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and lives and works in Milan.
