Luca Pozzi’s practice operates at the intersection of visual art and theoretical physics, translating scientific research into hybrid installations that combine magnetic sculpture, levitating objects, drawings made of light, and performative uses of photography. Since 2009, he has collaborated with leading scientific communities including the Loop Quantum Gravity group at the Perimeter Institute in Ontario, the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment at CERN, and the Fermi Large Area Telescope project of INFN and NASA. Major works include Quantum Gravity Cave, a project mapping scientists’ hands using ultraviolet laser technology; Oracle, a remote light-drawing device presented at DLD and Haus der Kunst in Munich in 2013; and Blazing Quasi-Stellar Object at CERN in 2017. His work is held in public collections including MART Rovereto, MAMbo Bologna, Museo Ettore Fico in Turin, and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He graduated in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and specialised in Computer Graphics and Systems. He lives and works in Milan.
