Carlo Alberto Rastelli’s research engages with the Italian figurative tradition, particularly painting of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, reinterpreting it through dreamlike landscapes, portraits, and atmospheres charged with symbolic intensity. He has undertaken artist residencies at the Glo’Art Global Art Center in Lanaken, Belgium, and at SIM Residency in Reykjavík, Iceland. Selected exhibitions include Per grazia ricevuta at Galleria Giovanni Bonelli, Milan (2024), Pittori fantastici nella valle del Po at PAC Ferrara (2020), and Ex Voto – per arte ricevuta at the Marino Marini Museum in Florence (2019). In 2012, he won the Mondadori Arte Prize in the Painting category. He completed a postgraduate degree in Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 2012 and lives and works in Parma.
