Chris Rocchegiani’s painting is an exercise in intimate freedom: a restless investigation that, beyond commitment to a clear direction, also anarchically embraces retreat, reconsideration, dissipation, multiplicity, contradiction, and zigzagging movement. His canvases function as fields of possibility, inhabited by uncertainties that have been overcome but may return at any moment. Multiple paintings—both realised and potential—coexist in layered tension upon the same surface. He lives and works in Jesi.
