Alessandro Simonini’s research spans sculpture, installation, performance, video, and sound, approaching artistic practice with the mindset of a researcher. He is interested in the space where self-awareness and symbolism interact alchemically with the viewer. In 2019, he was artist-in-residence at Viafarini in Milan. He earned a degree in Philosophy from the University of Bologna in 2008, studied acting at the Louis Jouvet Theatre School, and completed an MA in Visual Arts in Bologna in 2012. He lives and works in Milan.
