Hu Renyi
Hu Renyi’s research encompasses sculpture, painting, video, photography, installation, sound art, and socially engaged projects, maintaining a sustained focus on the complex relationships between artists and society under the ongoing impact of capitalism. His work has been exhibited at Minsheng Art Museum, Chi K11 Art Museum, V-Art Center, Today Art Museum, Changjiang Contemporary Art Museum, Himalaya Museum, Berkshire Museum, and the Taft Museum of Art. Since 2008, he has taught at the School of Visual Arts in New York and serves as Artistic Director of the institution’s SNAP Art Center. He earned an MFA in Art Practice from the School of Visual Arts, New York, and lives between New York and Shanghai.
